Bay Area

• Bay Area Polyamory
  This group is for those who wish to talk about the issues regarding polyamorous relationships, and find people interested in the lifestyle as well. This group will grow according to what you put in it, so don’t wait for someone else to start things. Just be polite, even when you disagree. Please remember that Polyamory and Swinging are Not the same thing. Not everyone will appreciate it if you approach them looking for “a good time”. Membership to this group is restricted, as we do at least try to keep the bots and the sleeze to a minimum.

  This list is for discussion of polyamory and poly-related issues by people residing, physically or spiritually, in northern California, with a fairly strong focus on the San Francisco Bay Area. It is also, with use of the EVENT: or CLASSIFIEDS: topic tag, the place to announce poly events and activities, and to post classified ads.

East Bay

• East Bay Poly Potluck
  In the San Francisco Bay Area? East Bay Poly Potluck sponsors (surprise!) a monthly poly potluck in the east bay (Oakland/Berkeley/Richmond area and environs), a monthly poly discussion group, and occasional go-deeper special events. There’s also a spinoff East Bay Poly Hiking & Dining gang that likes to go on nice walks followed by nice meals, and sometimes other activities like going to plays and shows together. Just normal fun folks doing normal fun things except we’re poly.

  A group for those interested in POLYAMORY & POLYFIDELITY: an alternative to monogamy based on open honesty, respect, consideration, and LOVE. **this is not a casual sex or swinger group** You will be greatly disappointed if that is what you seek.
• House Weirdness Events list
  House Weirdness is the home of the East Bay Poly Pool Party; they also sponsor research and discussion groups, and other poly friendly events. Low traffic and intermittent announcement list.

Humboldt County

• Polyhum
  This list exists to serve folks who are are interested in polyamory in Humboldt County, California. Polyamory is the practice of having multiple adult love relationships in an honest and ethical way.

North Bay

• North Bay Poly
  This group exists for the purpose of building community among those interested in polyamory in Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties. This mailing list is NOT a discussion list; the only posts are announcements of community events and items of interest to local polyfolk in the wine country of Northern California, and personal ads are prohibited. This list is intentionally kept as a LOW VOLUME list, in the interest of reaching as many members of our community as possible, many of whom prefer not to be inundated with email! Our sister list, north_bay_poly_chat, is a forum for discussion about the joys and challenges of a polyamorous lifestyle.

Sacramento

• Sacramento Polyamory group
  The sac-poly mailing list exists to faciliate discussion between polyamorous and poly-curious individuals who reside in Sacramento, CA or the surrounding areas. Membership requests from blank or out-of-area profiles and/or individuals who appear to be spammers or primarily seeking sexual encounters are subject to denial without further comment. Same goes for profiles featuring sexually explicit images. Include your location and specific reasons for wishing to join a Sacramento-based polyamory group in your membership request.

San Luis Obispo And Central Coast

Santa Cruz

• Santa Cruz Polyamory
  A forum for Santa Cruz area polyamorists, friends and family. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a Yahoo profile listing your age in order to join this group. There are many different ways of being poly, and discussions on this list reflect that. We also discuss a variety of poly-related topics. This list is open to people (over age 18 years old) of all genders, sexual orientations, family configurations, lifestyles, races, religions, and heritage.   A social gathering for Santa Cruz area polyamorists, people who support multipartner relationships and families. Poly-curious folks, family, and friends welcome. We welcome people of all genders, orientations, and family configurations (please be at least 18 years old). Our format is open-topic casual conversation in a safe public place, allowing everyone to talk about what she/he/they wants to talk about. This helps people to get to know each other and also helps create a safe environment. Personal sharing is welcome though not required. Get to know other poly folks and learn about how poly folks make their loving relationships meaningful.

South Bay

  This social get-together is open to polyamorous, non-monogamous, or poly-curious people under 40 years of age and their partners. If you are 40+, please attend with your under 40 partner present.
